Located on Bernard Street, Bloomsbury in the London Borough of Camden, Russell Square Tube Station is brilliantly situated just a stone’s throw away from our hotel. The historic station is on the Piccadilly Line and in Travelcard Zone 1.
With the British Museum, the University of London’s main campus, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Russell Square Gardens and the Brunswick Centre all a short walk away from Russell Square Station, it remains a fantastic option from which to visit central London – and get to us.
A Grade II listed building, this historic station was designed by Leslie Green and is an example of Modern Style architecture.
The Crescent Hotel is just a six minute walk from Russell Square Tube Station.
Russell Square Tube Station has only one exit so as you leave you’ll step out into Bernard Street. You’ll need to get onto Marchmont Street which is on the other side of Bernard Street which you can physically see as you leave the station. Go down that road for approximately 5 mins and you’ll see Cartwright Gardens with it’s lush trees and tennis courts. Right behind the gardens will be the Crescent Hotel, you can’t miss it.
