Our Hotel in central London has been a well-established family run business since 1956. The Hotel was started by Aldo and Felicina Bessolo, who ran the Bloomsbury business happily together for many years. Their daughter, Rita Cockle took over the running of the Hotel in the 80’s. Today, the Hotel is managed by Lisa, the granddaughter. When she is not doing that she is to be found climbing.
The Hotel is more than a business to us. It is part of our family heritage and memories. We hope that this is conveyed in the atmosphere you experience at the Hotel.
Rita and Paul Cockle, are now semi-retired. Rita enjoys keeping up with her friends in the Perfume Bottle Collectors Association, including writing an article for them about the Hotel. She can also be found perusing London’s antique markets, with some of her purchases overflowing into the Hotel! Paul keeps himself busy with issues affecting our local community as well as supporting wider charities.
