See what other guests have said about the Crescent Hotel

A Super Hotel for Family and Women travellers. My friend booked this hotel for our one night stay, we were coming to London for a mid-week birthday treat. I always stayed in a brand hotel, because of the safety concern and the quality of sleep, in London, you can get lots of traffic, busy commute persons and tourists – like us. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice quiet night, feeling safe when you sleep, but close to restaurants, underground and lots of small shops. The hotel just tucks in the quiet location within 5 mins walk to the Russell Square underground. The hotel is super clean, it has nice and newish bathroom units fitted in, no smell and no dirty marks. I saw the person who does the job, no dirt on the ground after he has done his job. You know when you visit an older style hotel, the window and the window sills, you might see dirty or build-up blackish air dust, I saw none at this hotel. You might think I am looking for trouble, honestly, I was just impressed with how clean it is when I used the public facility when I picked up my bag after I checked out. The landlady and the staff are gentle and helpful. You can see the kitchen from the dining area, again, really clean and tidy. Those that the things that I appreciate, I am eating in a place with a clean and hygiene kitchen, and the rooms are safe, warm and clean. It is a listed building, so the window is not double glaze, but we found it super quiet at night, only the wind rattles the window because we open it for fresh air. All of us wanted to come back, with our family/kids, because we want to have somewhere that is welcome and also close to town. I took a uber ride back from Leicester Square to the hotel at around 10.30 pm, it was less than £12.00. our Uber ride to and from Waterloo Station was less than £10.00 each with medium traffic. It is something to consider if you are in a group of 3, this is cheaper than underground. Tripadvisor - February 2022

Great mid-range hotel It has an excellent location, and offers a value for money mid-range hotel option that many visitors to London would be looking for. As a party of five people, we found it to be clean, quiet, efficient, and with pleasant and helpful staff. Our two ensuite bedrooms were in the hotel basement and were perfectly adequate for a mid-range hotel. Breakfast was also fine with cooked options and cereal, fruit and toast. It is not five-star or glamorous, but neither does it carry central London five-star prices. I would expect that it is more than adequate for the needs of most visitors. Tripadvisor - February 2022

You can safely stay here for a good rate in London. Its clean, and spacious. Its quite traditional and the owner/ staff will do everything they can to enhance your stay. It is perfectly placed for the tube to all the attractions or you can just stay local, Bloomsbury is a little gem in its own right. I could not imagine needing to stay anywhere else in London. Thank you for a lovely stay. Tripadvisor - November 2021

I stayed for just one night, while meeting friends in London. Friendly reception staff. The room was very nice. Quite spacious, with cable tv and free wifi. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good. I had a room on the top floor, and there is no lift, only stairs. I think most of the en-suite rooms were on the upper floors. The hotel had quite an old-fashioned feel to it, which was lovely. There is only free parking outside on Saturday after 1700 and all day Sunday. There is a nearby car park about 5 minutes walk away for £18 for 24 hours. Breakfast was very good. Good selection, and plenty of it! Price was quite reasonable for central London. A lovely hotel and I would happily stay there again. Definitely recommended. Tripadvisor - Dec 2019
